The Laima Veil
Named after Laima, the Lithuanian goddess believed to bless brides and watch over every marriage, this veil carries a quiet wish for happiness into your wedding day.
A single-tier mantilla veil shaped by hand from soft, light ivory tulle and bordered with delicate Chantilly lace in a gently scalloped, floral pattern. The lace is sewn stitch by stitch along the edge, so it frames the silhouette softly and moves with you as you walk.
Lightweight and airy, the veil drapes beautifully over the shoulders and down the back, finished on a secure metal comb that sits discreetly in the hair. Made to order in my small European studio.

Veil length
Measured from the top of the veil to the hem:
- Waist — 75 cm / 30"
- Floor — 200 cm / 79"
- Chapel — 250 cm / 98" (a short train)
- Cathedral — 300 cm / 118" (a long, flowing train)
- Cathedral, extra wide — 320 cm / 126" (a long, flowing train)
- Royal — 350 cm / 138" (the most dramatic train)

The style
A single-tier mantilla bordered with delicate Chantilly lace in a gently scalloped, floral pattern, sewn stitch by stitch along the edge. Finished on a secure metal comb that sits discreetly in the hair.
Tulle & colour
Soft light ivory bridal tulle — lightweight and airy, it drapes beautifully over the shoulders. Not sure the shade will match your gown? Send me a photo of your dress and I'll help you match it, or order fabric and lace samples first.
Wearing a ball gown?
The standard width suits most wedding dresses. For a very full ball gown skirt or a wide train, a wider veil may look more balanced — write to me before ordering and I'll help you choose.

Laima is lovely for a classic, church or garden wedding, and gentle enough for both lace and plain gowns. It was made here, in Lithuania — the place it is named for.

Many lace veils today are made with the lace glued on or machine-stitched in minutes. Mine are not.
Every piece of Chantilly lace on my veils is sewn by hand, stitch by stitch — whether it is a fine edge, a wide border or a veil made entirely of lace. It is a slow, old technique that very few ateliers still keep — and it is the reason the lace lies soft and flat, moves with the veil and never stiffens or peels away.
Every veil is handcrafted in my studio in Kaunas, Lithuania, for one bride at a time. Tiny differences between veils are the mark of the hand, not a flaw.

European Union. Shipped from Lithuania — no customs inside the EU.
Worldwide. Tracked delivery to most countries. Outside the US and EU, any import fees are set by your local customs.

Every veil is made to order especially for you, so I am not able to accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)).
Before ordering, please check the length and colour carefully. Unsure? Write to me — I am happy to send extra photos and measurements or help you choose.
If your veil arrives damaged or not as ordered, please contact me right away with a photo and we will make it right together.

How do I choose the length?
Measure from the spot on your head where the veil will sit down to where you would like it to end. Waist and Fingertip are easy to wear all day, Floor just brushes the floor, Chapel and longer create a train.
Will my veil arrive creased?
Tulle folds during travel. Hang the veil for a day so it relaxes, or steam it gently from a distance on low heat. Never iron the lace directly.
How do I keep it after the wedding?
Store it loosely folded in acid-free tissue, in a breathable cotton bag, away from sunlight — never in plastic. It is made to be kept and passed on.
